Par cook the lasagna noodles for about 6 minutes. Spoon out of water and drop into cold water w/ some oil. After cooling down remove from water and set aside. Separately take 2 boxes of thawed frozen spinach drained, 1/2 large onion diced and 2 cloves of garlic. Saute until tender add 1 red bell pepper diced and 3 shredded carrots. Cook a few minutes and add 16 ounces of heavy cream bring to a boil and reduce until mix is thick. Cool the spinach mixture . Take 3pounds of ricotta cheese, 3 eggs, salt and pepper to taste, and 1 pound of shredded mozzarella. Mix all ingredients add spinach at the end. Take individual lasagna noodles and add a scoop of this mixture. Roll up and set in lasagna pan. Continue this procedure until all the lasagna noodles are filled. You should now have about 20 noodles filled with the vegetable mix. Cover and heat in 350 degree oven until hot. For the sauce use a basic Alfredo sauce recipe. 1Quart of heave cream heated thicken with a roux made of 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of flour. Season w/ s%26amp;p and a little nutmeg.finish with some grated parmesan cheese.Know any good recipes or tips 4 lasagna ?

just type in recipes in a google search...... millions out there. Also, make lasagne a day ahead, if possible and let all of the ingredients ';meld'; together......
My wife makes ours without pre-cooking the lasagna noodles.....and for some other recipes, try Foodnetwork.com.

Beat an egg into the ricotta (or cottage) cheese, then stir in a few shakes of Italian seasoning. Otherwise, you don't NEED a recipe--just throw it together.


A layer of frozen spinach (thawed %26amp; squeezed dry) is good with the ricotta layer, too. Then you can pretend it's good for you, hee hee!
Lasagna





Ingredients





(8 servings)





2 tb Oil


2 ea Slices chopped bacon


2 ea Cloves crushed garlic


1 ea Chopped onion


1 1/2 lb Lean ground beef


1/2 lb Chopped salami


1/2 ts Sweet basil


1 tb Chopped parsley


2 ea 5 1/2 oz cn tomato paste


2 c Canned tomatoes


1/2 lb Mushrooms


1/2 c Water


2 ts Salt


1/4 ts Pepper


1/2 lb Mozzarella cheese


2 ea Beaten eggs


1/2 c Grated Parmesan cheese


1/2 lb Cooked lasagna noodles


8 oz Cottage cheese








Instructions





Saute bacon, crushed garlic, and onion in hot oil for 5 min. Remove the garlic. Add ground beef, salami, basil, and parsley. Brown well. Add tomato paste, tomatoes, mushrooms, and water. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour or until very thick. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 375F. Butter a 12x9 inch casserole or lasagna dish. Grate mozzarella. Combine cottage cheese, egg and Parmesan cheese. Pour a layer of tomato sauce in the bottom of dish. Cover with a layer of noodles and a layer of the cheese /egg mixture, sprinkle with mozzarella. Repeat, ending with sauce and a layer of mozzarella. Bake for 30 min. Note: The flavor improves when lasagna is prepared a day in advance and refrigerated until time for baking.
