Looking for a good lasagna recipe?

this will be my first time trying to cook it so I'm looking for an easy recipe and something that will go along with it, its for a valentines date.Looking for a good lasagna recipe?
You'll need:


1 pack of lean minced beef


2 onions


herbs (acording to your taste)


tomatoes


pasta sheets


1 pint of milk


1onze butter


1onze plain flour


cheese


beef stock cube





1) fry onions until they are transparent and don't let them go brown.


2) add mince and cook with onions until the meat is brown.


3) add stock cube and the seasonings and herbs you have chosen.


4) add chopped tomatoes and fill the can with water and add the water after the tomatoes.


5) leave to simmer for half hour.





1) put milk, flour, butter and a quarter of cheese into pan and heat until thickens and there are no lumps.


2) line bottom of cooking dish with a little sauce.


3) add a little meat bolognaise over the sauce.


4) add a layer of pasta sheets.


5)add layer of white sauce, and continue until white sauce and meat have run out.


6) add cheese to the top and put in the oven for half an hour at gas mark 6 (cook until cheese is crispy.)Looking for a good lasagna recipe?
You will notice it doesn't say to cook the noodles, it helps with the structure of the finished dish. Do Not cook the noodles.





Lasagna





INGREDIENTS


1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef


1 onion, chopped


2 cloves garlic, minced


1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil


1 teaspoon dried oregano


2 tablespoons brown sugar


1 1/2 teaspoons salt


1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes


2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste


12 dry lasagna noodles


2 eggs, beaten


1 pint part-skim ricotta cheese


1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


2 tablespoons dried parsley


1 teaspoon salt


1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded


2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


DIRECTIONS


In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef, onion and garlic; drain fat. Mix in basil, oregano, brown sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).


In a medium bowl, mix together eggs, ricotta, Parmesan cheese, parsley and 1 teaspoon salt.


Layer 1/3 of the lasagna noodles in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover noodles with 1/2 ricotta mixture, 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese and 1/3 of the sauce. Repeat. Top with remaining noodles and sauce. Sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese over the top.


Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

The ';Betty Crocker Cook Book'; has been around for many years and they have always had good recipes.

I prefer to use meatloaf mixture (ground beef, ground pork and ground pork) in my lasagna. It gives it a little extra flavor. I also use a homemade marinara sauce made by my friend's family. If you don't have access to that and you want to use storebought jar sauce, I would suggest using Barilla Baking Sauce. It's not too bad...for jar sauce. I like to add a little spinach in mine too.
